     Sermons said by Metropolitan GURIJ (Egorov) in the Cathedral of Dnepropetrovsk open the 28th Issue (2nd in 2001) of Alpha & Omega. The same section Biblical Studies contains an article by Aleksej fokin "A Textual Comparison of the Synodal Translation with Nestle-Aland", and the next portion of the abstract of I. H. MARSHALL'S book "The Gospel of Luke. A Commentary on the Greek Text" (7:11-9:6) by Yakov TESTELETS started in Issues 23—27 of the journal.
     The section Patristic Exegesis contains "The second Homily on the Gospel of Luke 18:31-44" by St. GREGORY DIALOG translated by Marija NENAROKOVA.
     In the section Patristics we publish the last portion of "Against Praxeas" by TERTULLIAN translated under the guidance of Aleksej FOKIN started in Issue 27 of the journal, "Oration on the Venerable and Most Glorious Assumption of our Most Holy Lady Theotokos" by St NICHOLAS CABASILAS translated by Fr Maksim KOZLOV, and «The Reasons of the Iconoclastic Controversy According to the Treatise by St. John damascene "The First Oration against those who repulse the Holy Icons» by Deacon Nikolaj SAKHAROV.
     The section Church in History includes an article by Archimandrite MAKAPIJ (Veretennikov) "The Narratives blessed by Saint Bishop Makarij, Metropolitan of Moscow", "Life and Work of His Eminence Amvrosij (Kljucharev), Archbishop of Kharkov" by Archimandrite GEORGIJ (Tertyshnikov), "The Cognition of God and the Place of a Theologian in the Church" by Archimandrite PLACIDE (Deseille), the last portion of "A Praise to Russian Saints by SERGIJ (Shelonin), a Monk in Solovetsky Monastery" published and provided with a Preface by Oleg panchenko, started in Issue 27 of the journal, and "Pneumatology of the Old Testament" by Deacon Georgij ZAVERHINSKIJ.
     In the section Church in Eternity we continue the "Lives of the Newly Canonized Saints" that were started in Issues 15-16, 18—25 and 27 of the journal. This issue contains the lives of Saint German Zosimovskij, Saint Aleksij Zosimovskij, Saint Zosima Vladimirskij and Martyr Nikolaj Varzhansky. Here we priint also an unknown letter by St Siluan ofAthos published by Aleksandr GUREVICH.
     In the section Russia that Is Not Gone we publish "From the Life of Fr Konstantin Shakhovskqj" by Fr Vladimir POPOV, «The "Missionary Reconnaissance" of Fr Nikolaj Trubetskoj" by Alexej beglov and "A Trip to Fr Georgij Kossov in March 1914" by Elizaveta DUCHESNE-KRASHENINNIKOVA.
     The section Dialogues and Soliloquies contains an article by Metropolitan AMPHILOCH (Radovic) "Meeting of Divine and Human Existence" and "The Sleep of Reason produces Monstres" by Marina ZHURINSKAYA.
     The next section Church Culture contains the last portion of the paper by Evgenij PILIPENKO "The Patristic Theology of Symbol" started in Issue 27 of the journal.
     In a new section Home Church we publish "A Catechism for Parents" by ANTHONY, Metropolitan of Sourozh.
